Stephen:                             [00:02:38]               I’m very excited about it. It’s wholesale and private label combined for us. Kind of a bundle thing that we do. Um, but I’m very excited because we use scope to help me with the keywords because it’s such a big deal figuring out the key words. How are you going to rank for this? How do you rank for this? Well, guess what we do, we go like everybody else and we figure out what the top products keywords are and then we use also that’s what scope allows you to do. And so it’s such a great, great product for discovering profitable Amazon keywords. You can even use it for finding products to you can with fee, cow sale calculations, all that stuff’s included, right? And it’s, it’s just a chrome extension simple to use, simple to use. We use it, um, if you could say 50 bucks by entering the code momentum.

Stephen:                             [00:03:21]               So seller labs.com, forward slash scope and to the code womentum save 50 bucks. That’s real money, save it please. And finally, I don’t want to Miss Karen Locker solution for ecommerce solutions. The number for ecommerce forward slash momentum is our link. Um, Karen, Karen’s been a sponsor, my show, I guess it’s almost three years now and it’s been phenomenal. The people that are still with Karen all those years, including me, I paid the same price you do. It’s because the consistency. Um, so many times I, you know, I get these emails, hey stranded inventory report, boom, you know, I look at it but I don’t have to do anything because there’s a member of my team, somebody that we can count on to help my wife and I with our business so we don’t have to pay attention to it. That’s what I like, that’s what I needed.

Stephen:                             [00:04:06]               And so solutions four ecommerce care locker, her team, um, I get notes from all the time I launched a. I think I talked about this last time. I launched a ton of products. The same product that I’ve used in scope for. I sent her here. The images here now we do the key words. We do all that stuff upfront. She does a flat files for me. Boom. They went in. It was perfect. No feedback. I don’t have anything to change because it was done exactly as it was supposed to be, but I didn’t have to mess with it. And it’s not that. I can’t, it’s not that I’m above it, it’s just that it allows me now to focus on this other piece. And so when you’re a small company like ours, when you have other people on your team working with you and working for you, it just makes the difference.

Stephen:                             [00:04:42]               And you know, I’ve said it for three years. Again, I look for consistency over time and Karen’s given me that, um, is it perfect? No, Steve’s never perfect. And so she keeps me on track and really helps us when we need it. And so it’s been a great relationship and I’m just so proud to offer it. I’m very careful about these things and I’m so proud to offer it. So solutions the number for ecommerce forward slash momentum, you’re going to say 50 bucks and that’s real money. Again, that’s real $50 by using my link. You don’t get that link anywhere else to save the 50 and she’s going to do an inventory. Health report, storage fees who get hit with storage fees right through just happened, right? A longterm storage is now their monthly, right? This quarter they’re going to be monthly by using Karen and her team, you could get that inventory health done, boom, pull back, which you don’t need or put sales on it, whatever it is. I’m Karen also does work on Ebay. If you want them to bring your listings over to Ebay using joe list or any of the other products. She does that kind of work too, but you got to use my link solutions, the number for ecommerce forward slash momentum saved the 50 bucks. Tell Karen I sent you and make sure that you really understand all the stuff that you can get through her service has been phenomenal. Let’s get into the podcast. Welcome back to the ECOMMERCE momentum podcast. This is episode 336 Paul megapixel.

Stephen:                             [00:06:02]               You might think that this is a pitch fest for Tony Robbins because Paul was involved with him and him giving you the heads up. Now, um, it’s not, um, because I don’t benefit. I don’t get a percentage. There’s no affiliate fees or anything like that. I like to see people move forward in life. One of my goals is to help people who are stuck and I think a lot of getting stuck, um, and Paul uses this number. Success is 80 percent mindset and 20 percent mechanics. I think that’s fair. I think when you sit back and look at it, you already know what to do, right? Why aren’t you doing it? Right? You are me and my weight loss. I already know what I need to do. I need to stop eating a whole bunch of crap and move around. Right? That’s pretty easy math. Why don’t I do it?

Stephen:                             [00:06:40]               Why haven’t I been able to do it for so long? Right? And Paul gives you some really good examples. And so there are definitely some quote Isms of Tony Isms, right? But you know what, um, if, if Tony’s a guy that helps you get, give yourself permission than men spend the money, you know, he’s going to help you if that’s possible. And if it’s not, Tony, I mentioned Oprah, right? If that’s who inspires you, it could be your ministry in your church, if that helps, whatever it is, you know, realize that there’s more to life. I think Paul is a perfect example of somebody who’s had doesn’t have it all figured out, but is maybe one of those guys that you need in your life that says, I don’t have it all figured out, so therefore I’m not going to just let life happen to me.

Stephen:                             [00:07:21]               I’m going to, I’m going to happen to life and I’m going to make sure that me and my wife and you wait to hear the love he has for his wife. Um, we’re going to do it on our terms. How cool is that? Is that missing in your life? If you’re not, if it’s not missing, man, don’t, don’t listen to this one. Move on, but if there’s something missing in your life, do you, do you need more? If you’re trying to lose weight, if you’re trying to repair your relationship, if you and your spouse or drifting apart, if you and your parents aren’t talking, if you and your friends are drifting, if your business isn’t moving forward where you want to go, if a, if life is happening to you, Paul can help you get some permission to start happening to life. I think it’s a great example, great guy, and he gives his contact information.

Stephen:                             [00:08:06]               I absolutely would follow him because he. I mean, he’s living his dream. It’s not your dream. Okay. And don’t see the Lamborghini and think that that’s your dream. Right? When you see that Tai Lopez guy lived the dream, you want the one that’s right for you. Paul will help you get permission. Let’s get into the podcast. Alright, welcome back to the ECOMMERCE momentum podcast. I’m very excited about this guest because I’ve been wanting to have this conversation for a whole bunch of reasons. A because he’s a reseller, right? And he’s been doing it, but he’s been doing it at his terms, which I think is always awesome. I think anybody who designs their life intentionally, but one of the other things is, is that Paul, MCA peggle. How did I do in the name up? Pretty good. We’ll take it. What’s the. Give me a better version.

Stephen:                             [00:08:51]               A macro MCA pegol. Alright, I got to get that out the last. Okay. But Paul is also a big Tony Robbins guy and we’re going to talk about the levels that he gets to ’em and I think, you know, some people are turned on or turned off. So if you turned off, this might not be for you. I understand that, but if you’ve not experienced him or if you’ve not met somebody who can help pull stuff out of you, who get some of the junk out of your life and get it out into the open so you can clearly talk about it. And this is for a lot of guys who can’t do that because that’s not the way they were raised. You got to be tough. You got to be mean. You gotta be, you know, keep that stuff, you know, keep your dirty laundry in house.

Stephen:                             [00:09:35]               I think Paul is going to give us some great perspective on things that you’ve seen. But again, Paul was a seller and I think like so many great outliers, they have figured out a way to earn enough money to make the life they want. And I think that’s an awesome life. Welcome Paul. Welcome. Welcome, welcome. Thank you. Glad to be here. Well, I mean, what I said, you know, I think, uh, when I look at what you’ve been able to do, it’s, it’s intentional or at least it’s been intentional for how long would you say?

Paul:                                      [00:10:07]               Um, you know, I’ve been, uh, I’ve been at this business now for a right around the two year mark. Um, so you know, this in the very beginning of, of this, uh, business venture, it was really nothing more than just a hope and a prayer and an idea. Uh, but you know, once the fire was lit it was nonstop after that,

Stephen:                             [00:10:26]               so two years. So that means your life hasn’t always been in order by designed like everybody else.

Paul:                                      [00:10:34]               No. You know, we control or having everything where it needs to be. It’s really a figment of your imagination. You know, everything is a hot mess. Until you could do it, you could put all of your time, your effort into put into placing all the pieces together. And you know, once I figured out how to put these pieces together or at least most of the pieces, you know, everything started falling into place.

Stephen:                             [00:10:55]               I think everything’s a work in progress, so this is a real. I mean some people can be like a dusty of course, but it’s real to understand that every single person has jumped in their life. Every person has stuff that, that they can’t control. Every person is they’re human, so they have flaws and you know, it just, it every once in a while you’ll see a celebrity, right? Who you think has it all together. They have more money than, you know, Paul, they have it all together and then all of a sudden you see a crash and burn or unfortunately committed suicide or whatever. And then you realize it’s like, whoa, that wasn’t fame and money isn’t the answer. No, no. And for some it is, but for most it’s not. So then what is the answer? I think it’s your health. Your health is your freedom and your health is your mental health too. And I think all that stuff’s important. All right, so let’s go back. So Paul is going to be, what? What were you going to be when you thought about, you know, where are you going to be a fireman, a doctor, a policeman. What was, what was your desire in life

Paul:                                      [00:12:00]               growing up as a kid? I really thought I was going to be a stockbroker. Um, and uh, you know, truth be told, I actually, uh, you know, back in the day used to work for Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter. I was serious, seven certified and uh, I went into this world of finance that I thought was, was, you know, the greatest thing since sliced bread, you know, I watched the movie Wall Street and slowly but surely I began to realize that this did not fit my persona. It didn’t fit who I was as an individual and you know, I was scratching my head because I thought this was going to be my dream career. And uh, you know, slowly but surely I realized that this wasn’t me.

Stephen:                             [00:12:42]               Was it that was with Charlie Sheen? No. Charlie Sheen and his father, right? Correct. Okay. So which one were you thinking that was more trank? Greed is good. Paul. Is that the guy you were attracted to or the idealist child, Charlie Sheen?

Paul:                                      [00:12:58]               Well, you know, it wasn’t necessarily the persona of one character, but it was the lifestyle that I thought I was going to be able to achieve by being a stockbroker. And uh, you know, again, it didn’t, it didn’t, I, it resonated with me when I, uh, when I, uh, when I plan my future, when I dreamt of being a stockbroker and living this glamorous lifestyle, but it wasn’t the truth.

Stephen:                             [00:13:22]               It’s funny, I just, for some reason went to instagram when you were talking about that, that persona, how many people have these rented Lamborghini’s or even in our world, you see it out there in facebook land where people are like a pretending they’re more than what they are and that kind of thing. And it breaks my heart because it’s like, man, I don’t, don’t try to impress anybody, you know, try to help people. To me, that’s the better calling in life. Um, I’m not very impressive. I’m a part time seller. Got An old warehouse that I love to work in. And to me that’s a healthy thing. But I could take these great pictures and make you think that a much more. And I just think that that’s a mistake. And I think of instagram for that right now. I think it’s still happens, don’t you?

Paul:                                      [00:14:00]               Oh No, absolutely. Absolutely. And you hit the nail right on the head. You know, I always look for opportunities in ways that I can always help people. And to be honest with you, that’s kind of what fulfills me the most, is being able to change and impact someone’s life in a way that they’re just like, wow, you know. Thank you. Um, so when that, when those types of incidents happen, those are the things that fill my heart.

Stephen:                             [00:14:23]               Yeah, it’s like a little fuel. Well, but go back. Did somebody do that for you? I mean, so you had these dreams, you thought being rich was the big thing, having all the glamor and living that life, you know, all that, all that stuff. And then you started it and then you realize, wait, there’s work here and this is a four letter word. It’s called work, right? And so that wasn’t as attractive. They, the fame. And Fortune doesn’t come very often to very many. Um, they are without putting, you know, paying your dues and all that. Did somebody else help you figure that out? That there’s life? Not Life Life. I guess maybe, maybe I’m saying it wrong. I thought I had a better word, but it’s like you have to make life happen. Not, not it or it will happen to you. Maybe that’s the better way set.

Paul:                                      [00:15:09]               Yeah. Actually, I mean, it, it, I could really sum it up in two words. Tony Robbins. I remember sitting in my office in New York City and uh, we were, we were told that there was going to be a presenter in our office and this presenter came to our office and he gave us this pitch about, you know, attending this seminar. And at the end of the day I was, I was very hesitant to do it at first, uh, you know, the seminars or not cheap. And at the end of the day I was just like, okay, should we take the chance and try to, uh, attend the seminar?

Stephen:                             [00:15:47]               Can you stop there a second? I just want to understand your mindset right there. So, so when you’re sitting there dwelling on that, right, your cat’s thousand, 2000, 3000 bucks, whatever it is. And you’re like, Huh? Was there something gnawing in the back of your mind that there’s something missing? Like what was your mindset then if you can remember?

Paul:                                      [00:16:07]               Oh, I absolutely remember. I, there was a lot of uncertainty in my life. I was in a job which was a really a real estate career. So I sell real estate in New York City and uh, there was a lot of uncertainty to, uh, to know that the success of my business was going to be a longterm solution for me and I really needed to figure it out. And that was sort of the reason why I went to the event because I wanted to get clarity and certainty about my real estate career and my business and as well as a little bit about my health as well, but primarily it was more about the business.

Stephen:                             [00:16:43]               And so what was it when that guy that connected with you, that gave you the, the, uh, the inclination that, that uncertainty could maybe be filtered through Tony Robbins or what was it that you saw there? That was, I, Huh? This might be the answer.

Paul:                                      [00:17:02]               Well, he really just painted a picture that your life could be better if you just applied a couple of simple techniques and put fear aside. And as soon as he did a couple of exercises with us, I said, you know what? This stuff makes sense. This stuff resonates with me. You know, what, what’s, what’s the harm? What, what could I lose?

Stephen:                             [00:17:29]               Do you have an example of one that he gave you? Then? Do you remember any of that? Just something that would be like, Huh, this helps start that path.

Paul:                                      [00:17:37]               Sure. It’s a small, simple exercise. But if you took your hands and you spread your hands really, really wide and you put your head and you put your hands together and you folded your fingers on top of each other. Um, either your right thumb is on top of your left thumb or your left thumb is on top of your right thumb, and every time you spread your hands wide and put it together, your thumb will be on top of the same thumb because that is a pattern that everyone does. Nobody’s switches it.

Stephen:                             [00:18:11]               My left is going right on top. So. So every time I do, it’s just a natural. Okay. And so that is, that’s normal, right for me.

Paul:                                      [00:18:19]               Yeah, it’s normal for everybody. But if you spread your hands again and put it together, but you intentionally switch it, tell me how that feels to you.

Stephen:                             [00:18:29]               Um, it feels very weird. Very different

Paul:                                      [00:18:33]               right now. Do it 10 times.

Stephen:                             [00:18:39]               Yeah. It’s definitely getting easier as I do it right. So everybody listening, I hope you’re just as foolish as I am doing this, but it’s, it’s true. It’s definitely getting more, more comfortable. Like, okay, the first time it was really uncomfortable. This time it’s kind of feels a little more natural. Like, okay, now I got it because I’m up to 10.

Paul:                                      [00:18:55]               Right? Well, the minute that that exercise was done, it really resonated with me and I understood that you have to, you have to endure a certain level of, of uncomfort to ability and then, and then things become easier and more natural, even though it wasn’t, it wasn’t easy in the beginning. It will become easier. So, and I’ve, I’ve applied that to pretty much everything in life

Stephen:                             [00:19:21]               and so when I’m sitting here thinking about it and it’s a bunch of people going, oh, come on, this is corny. Paul, this is, this is. It’s just corny. Come on man. This isn’t, this isn’t going to help me in my Amazon, my Ebay, my etsy selling business, my shopify business. This to how, how is this? How can I apply that? That simple little example you gave, tell me how that would help my business in is in an easy form. If you could.

Paul:                                      [00:19:49]               Alright, let me, let me read. Let me think about this a properly so I could, uh, do this. So you might have to edit that part.

Stephen:                             [00:19:55]               No, that’s okay. No, I think it’s, I think I’m putting you on the spot a little bit because I just saw something else where somebody gave me another example. They’re like, hey, you know this, these patterns, if you take and replicate that in your business, all of a sudden you’re going to see a change. And it’s like, Huh? Consistency over time. Right? I mean, that’s really what it takes.

Paul:                                      [00:20:13]               Yeah. Yeah, that’s a great way of putting it. So at the end of the day, you know, in life, if you want to achieve something that you have never achieved before, you have to do things that you’ve never done. And that was the key for me to success was being able to do things that were uncomfortable, uncomfortable for me, and things that I’ve never done. And knowing that one metaphor of being able to switch your thumb, it was so simple, but it applied in so many ways in my life that that’s how I was able to get out of my own head, get out of these ruts and actually succeed in life.

Stephen:                             [00:20:50]               So. So let’s take this a step further. So you’re an Ra guy. So I’m just going to that store you avoided because they told you know once or they made it challenging for you and then you avoid it. Right? And then you put the effort in and you actually go in, I’m consistently and you hear. No, no, no. And eventually it’s a yes and maybe your frame, you, you changed your state because you realized, Hey, you know, worst they can say, you know how many times I’ve heard no, no big deal. And then boom, you go in and then once they tell you, yes, it’s like the boundaries are lifted, right? Is that a, is that a weird example?

Paul:                                      [00:21:26]               Oh no, that’s a perfect example. And you know, I used to be afraid of the no’s, but now I know that every time you get to know you’re really just a few steps closer to getting the yes.

Stephen:                             [00:21:38]               You know, it’s funny you sit back and listen to this stuff. This is the old zig ziglar stuff. This is the old, I forget the guy who had that leadership dynamic company. You know, those, those kinds of companies. Paul, uh, I forget his name, but he worked with him. This stuff is old. These techniques are not new. I mean this is not. Tony Robbins didn’t invent this stuff. Right? He just found a way emphatically to communicate this stuff and connect with people.

Paul:                                      [00:22:02]               Absolutely. That’s exactly what he did.

Stephen:                             [00:22:04]               Hmm. All right. So, so you go, you know, you, you dig deep, you spend the money. What were, did a lot of people from that office a buy in or. And if not, did they look at you a little funny like what’s this guy doing? I don’t need Tony Robbins. I can do everything myself.

Paul:                                      [00:22:26]               It’s so funny that you say that. You know, a lot of people think that Tony Robbins is a cult or you know, they think that, you know, he’s a sham, you know, he’s just the guy selling stuff and you know, I thought almost the same thing as well, but it just took someone to just take a chance and just be like, you know, what, what could it hurt, you know, if I could just get one thing out of this guy, it could be, it could be. I would consider it a successful, a successful trip, uh, you know, to go out and see this guy, but out of an office of a, maybe 100 something people, I would probably say that there was about 12 of us that time there. There’s about 12 of us that signed up and got a ticket. So, uh, yeah, it wasn’t that much.

Stephen:                             [00:23:12]               So were they, did they look down their noses at you? The ones that signed up like, oh, these guys are gullible. They’re just, you know, they’re there. They need that. They need a crutch. That’s what, that’s what Tony is.

Paul:                                      [00:23:23]               Um, I wouldn’t say that people were kind of like sneering at me or being like, oh, he drank the koolaid. I can’t say that, but they just really didn’t care much for it. The ones that signed up were, you know, obviously I’m really interested to, you know, change their lives. But I think that it, it all depends on the person and where are in life. If you, if you have questions that you need answered and you, you find that this person could be the answer, then you’ll gravitate towards it. But if it doesn’t resonate with you, you know, people will just walk away and that’s okay.

Stephen:                             [00:23:58]               I think that’s okay. I think that’s very healthy because here’s the challenge though. Who Do you talk to and let’s talk this guys, right? I mean, now I guess because of your circle, this is probably not true for you, but it probably was true prior when you were working in an office. Could you talk to guys, Hey man, I’ve got a problem. Me and my wife or me and my girlfriend were doing this, or hey, things aren’t going so well. I’m struggling. Here are my. For me, it’s my diet. I have a group of, I think there’s 11 of us or 12. I think somebody new came in last night. There’s 12 of us in this group about a diet Quito. We’re doing a Keto Diet together and we’ve lost collectively well over 200 plus pounds and there’s two or three guys in there now who are not trying to lose weight. They’re trying to build muscle and improved their life and doing all these things that inspiration our ability to talk to each other. His guys and talk about the challenges and this and that. It’s just, you can’t find it. I always say that Amazon, um, is ecommerce world has given us that because we all have these, you know, these, these, uh, kind of raw connections. When you were in that office, that piece was that there was that missing because that sounds like a macho environment. Hey, we’re all, we’re all men, right? We, you know.

Paul:                                      [00:25:06]               Right. Well, I always had meaningful conversations, but I wouldn’t say it would go really, really deep. It’s all surface level kind of conversation. But you know, at the end of the day I was always looking for something a little bit more.

Stephen:                             [00:25:20]               You’re looking for something more and you know, unfortunately those 12 guys, you, you and the 11 others found that. But the ones who didn’t, how many of them might still be looking for it? And so, you know, you can, again, if you have a close group of friends, that’s exactly the same thing. Some kind of connection or church for me, you know, if you’re connected into church or urine in some kind of social thing, but that’s really hard to find a place where you can be real and be in business real. I think that makes it even more challenging. Right?

Paul:                                      [00:25:53]               Oh No, absolutely. It’s a, it’s a, you know, New York City real estate is a very high paced, high charged environment. Uh, you know, it’s not for the weak, so the type of person you have to be to be in New York City, real estate broker is kind of Alpha and you know, when you get a whole bunch of Alpha people into a room, it can get a little grimy.

Stephen:                             [00:26:15]               It’s a measuring contest. Yeah. They’re not going to be vulnerable at all because any sign of weakness, Paul, and now all of a sudden, you know, oh, he’s vulnerable. Let’s get them, let’s say. And then they gang up, right? Instead of, instead of. So you found a connection there, right. So you go, you in 11 friends or acquaintances go to this event. Where was it in New York?

Paul:                                      [00:26:36]               Uh, yeah, it was actually at the meadowlands in New Jersey.

Stephen:                             [00:26:39]               Oh, okay. So this is a big place. And what, what did you go in and, and what was the finding?

Paul:                                      [00:26:47]               Oh, this was, this is great. So, you know, at the time that I went, let’s just say that my health wasn’t a, at the, it wasn’t in the best

Stephen:                             [00:26:57]               place. Well it was that mental health, physical health. And was it self induced or was it just natural?

Paul:                                      [00:27:04]               I mean, I wouldn’t say, I wouldn’t say it was a, it was mental health in any which way, but, you know, I, I just wasn’t in a half. I wasn’t in the happiest place that I could be. Um, you know, back then I thought I was happy. Uh, but, you know, I now I realized that there was another level of happiness that I could have achieved. Uh, but more or less my, my health wasn’t that great. You know, I was on medication for cholesterol. I had a little bit of high blood pressure. I was vitamin D deficient.

Stephen:                             [00:27:29]               You’re a young guy.

Paul:                                      [00:27:30]               Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely. And, uh, you know, I was really, I was also overweight, you know, at that time, and you know, I, I didn’t go to Tony Robbins for, for any health reason. It was really to elevate my, uh, my, my real estate career. But when I got there, uh, so much of this, uh, of, of everything resonated with me for me to take, to start taking care of myself and my health. That’s what I actually walked away with. And you know, once this event ended, I was so strict with my diet and I went from being pretty fat to pretty fit.

Stephen:                             [00:28:05]               And so is it, is it kind of like you get permission? I mean, to me that’s what a lot of these things, if you go see, even if he goes see a therapist or something like that, basically you’re talking through the junk in your life, right? And you’re saying these things and then all of a sudden you already know the answer. And it’s almost like reinforcement. You get to hearing you say it out loud or whatever, or seeing others say it out loud and then you realize frame it against your conversation, which, which we will, we can talk about in a second. It gives you permission to say, Huh, okay, I’m not alone. I feel like I’m alone, but wait a second, I’ve got now I don’t know how many people fit in the meadowlands, but it’s tens of thousands. Right? But they all got junk in their lives too, so it’s like, oh, okay, so now I have permission to deal with it because I’m not alone. I’m not isolated. Is that, is that fair?

Paul:                                      [00:28:56]               Yeah, no, absolutely. And remember I, I go by this one phrase, you know, success is 80 percent mindset and 20 percent mechanics and generally if you could work on the greater, which is the 80 percent, the mechanics almost don’t matter as much, but if you have the right mindset, whenever you go into something, success is inevitable.

Stephen:                             [00:29:19]               All right, so same thing with Diet and exercise, right? It’s correct. 80 or 90 percent diet period, right? The exercise is great, but it’s, it’s 80 or 90 percent

Paul:                                      [00:29:28]               correct. If you were to ask a 10 year old kid, you know, how do you become healthy and fit? The 10 year old kid would say diet and exercise. So it is simple and it’s a parent to that kid, but yet as adults we don’t know how to diet or exercise, but we really do.

Stephen:                             [00:29:45]               It’s complicated, right? The junk. Again, you let others influence you. All right, so you go to this event and what happens? Your eyes like kid in a candy store, you see all this stuff. All of a sudden you know, you’re with, you’re with your homies, your with your. I mean you found a home.

Paul:                                      [00:30:06]               Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was with my friends and we’re sitting in this audience and this event really kind of put life into perspective for me. You know, I was surrounded by people that had way bigger problems that I had that were way sicker and way unhealthier than I ever was and I was also surrounded by people that were way more successful than I could have ever dreamed. But you know, once you see how real these people are, it kind of puts life into perspective for you and it kind of charges you up where you’re just like, you know what, I, I need that in my life. I want that. I want to succeed, I want to achieve it. You know, you, you hear crazy stories, you know, from A. I mean, I can go on and on, but

Stephen:                             [00:30:49]               they’ll give us one. I mean, because what I’m intrigued with is that you’re saying that there’s both there, there are people at their lowest of lows and it sounds like there are people at their highest of highs.

Paul:                                      [00:30:58]               Right? But see, life is all about trying to find that balance. But I could, I could be super envious of someone that is amazingly successful in business, but they’re just not fulfilled in their relationships. Maybe. And also too, they can be super unhealthy because everyday they wake up and they focus on working on their business. But what’s the point of having a multimillion dollar business or even a billion dollar business if you’re taking medication every single day, if you’re unhealthy, if you’re on death’s bed, what’s the point?

Stephen:                             [00:31:35]               Again, this is very real, very relevant to me and my group of 11 or 12 of us in this group because we realized that, you know, there’s an unfortunate the list of medicine for us all, it was pretty high and now we’re all sitting there like, Ooh, just got off of that one. Just got. Because you know, uh, I’m down 20 pounds and some of these other guys are down a lot more, but they’re working on health and it’s like, wait a second. Food is medicine for the potty right now, these pills. Right? And so when you start realizing that, and then you’re like, Huh, I can do something about it. I mean, I literally really can do something about it. Where in the past I thought it was helpless. You know, I’ve gone up and down a whole bunch of weight and I don’t want to make this about Steve’s. Wait. But it’s, it’s, it’s the same thing, right? It’s this mental health, physical health, all this is the same thing. It’s making a change and deciding enough is enough. As Dave Ramsey says, I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Paul:                                      [00:32:25]               Exactly. Exactly. So my thing is, you know, food got you into trouble. Food. We’ll get you out of it.

Stephen:                             [00:32:32]               That’s a good one. That’s a really good one. Hold on, I’m going to quote that one. All right. So. So you go there, you see both extremes. You’re somewhere in between. You realize Paul’s not the lowest of the lows. There are people have worse situations. Your situation, whatever it was that was going through your head, you’re not as bad as you think. And it’s not like you’re, you’re trying to get ahead at their expense. You just, it gives you that frame of reference. I always say the boundaries, right? These blinders, these selfimposed blinders that were put on you or you know, however they got there, they’re like lifted, right? It’s like scales on the eyes. They using the Bible, right? It’s like all of a sudden you can see and you’re like, whoa, there’s more to life.

Paul:                                      [00:33:14]               Oh absolutely. But the thing is, before going in there, I didn’t know how and I didn’t, I didn’t know what the perspective was. I didn’t know how to look at life, but the minute I was just given a couple of simple tools and I, I was in this audience, have a of people from every nationality, every culture, every problem and issue you can, you can ever imagine. It’s in this room. Anyone from, you know, people that have lost people to suicide, drug addiction to multimillionaires that are running incredibly successful businesses. But it, all of this stuff puts your life into perspective and it kind of gives you the permission to dream again,

Stephen:                             [00:33:56]               you know, sitting there thinking about. Because there’s some people are like, you know, this is all hype and hyping up Tony Robbins, Dave’s done some benefit. First off, I don’t benefit in any way. Never seen him other than seeing him on TV and seen his shows. But listen to those tapes, listen to his CDS. And it was very inspiring and he definitely helps you get almost like a rhythm. And that’s what I, that’s what I see with him. He helps you establish a rhythm and then if you’re consistent, you can maintain it. Right? So you get to go and see this and see lives changed. The downside is it costs you some money and worst case, do you walk away like, Hey, wasn’t for me. I wasn’t connection. The upside, the upside potential, the connections that you’ve made, you know, think about some of the people that you’ve met. Would you have ever met them? Had you not made this connection in this Tony Robbins group?

Paul:                                      [00:34:45]               One hundred percent? No. Um, if you, if you don’t mind, I’d like to just share with you one really quick story. Go for it. But I remember, you know, as, as a Tony Robbins person, you can be an attendee or you can be a volunteer. And I remember the one time that it was my first event that I was actually a volunteer for and I was walking from my hotel room to the convention center and then I see a homeless man in front of me and for sure I knew that this homeless man was going to ask me for money. And let me just preface that, you know, as a New York City real estate broker, it’s Kinda difficult to get from point a to point b without someone trying to sell you something, beg for money to do something in New York City. So yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. So I have a method, it’s called put your, put your headset on, look down and keep going and don’t pay attention to make eye contact right now.

Paul:                                      [00:35:44]               Exactly. Never make eye contact. So that’s, that’s kind of like my mom in New York is just head down and go. And I knew right then and there that when I was walking to the convention center and I saw that homeless man that for sure he was going to ask me for money and Lo and behold, the minute I got within three feet of the guy, he goes, hey, my name is [inaudible] Jackson and you know, I am an, I am a homeless person. I’m selling these newspapers and blah blah, blah, blah blah. And I looked at him as politely. I said to him, no thank you. And then I kept walking. I got about 20 feet away and I stopped right in my tracks and I said to myself, Paul, what the hell are you doing? The purpose of you coming to this event was to volunteer your time and your service to others, and I said to myself, what’s the difference between the thousands of people in that convention center and that one guy that you just passed?

Paul:                                      [00:36:41]               And then the answer was nothing. So it was A. I had an epiphany at that point because I. It was really that moment of like, man, you need to be a different person right now. And that’s what I did. I put my hand in my pocket. I had a couple of dollars and I, I, I waved it at him. The guy came running over to me and I said, hey listen. I said, I know that you need this money and to be perfectly honest with you, I don’t care what you need the money for, but I just know that you need it, but I do ask you one favor. It’s that you pay it forward some way somehow because when you pay it forward, multiple blessings will come back to you and that’s what I want for you. Can you do that? And he said, absolutely.

Paul:                                      [00:37:25]               And the gentleman was so such a so amazing, and he said to me, he goes, do you mind if I pray for you? And I said, pray for me. And he’s like, yeah, I want to pray for you. So basically this homeless man prayed for everything that he for me, that he didn’t have. He prayed for my health, my wellness, my finance, my safe travels, everything. And I was so touched by this and I, I had this actually recorded and that I brought this recording to my other volunteer friends and we decided right then and there that we needed to change this guy’s life. Anyway, fast forward a few hours. We all chipped in. We bought this homeless man a ticket to go inside the events and we also started a go fund me campaign for this gentleman to help provide this guy with opportunities after the event was over. And I am so proud to say that this gentleman is no longer homeless. He is actually a functioning working member of society, a he is living in his own home. He has his own car and he also was a volunteer for Tony Robbins this past December because he wanted to give to other people because of what someone did for him. So I got to say that this is probably one of my happiest moments of my life. To be able to take someone from homelessness, provide them a couple of opportunities and watched this mangrove.

Stephen:                             [00:38:58]               You expanded his boundaries. Again, you lifted the limitations because here’s a guy who’s trying to just scratch out lunch and now all of a sudden he realizes, wait, there’s a life that I never saw. And you know, a lot of it is mental health or a lot of it is drugs and addiction and all those different things, but they have the same junk in their life that you have. And I don’t care who you are. You can be the straightest guy, girl in the world, but you still have junk in your life. You have outside influences that things, um, you know, what do they say? Everybody’s a couple paychecks away from being homeless, right? I mean, it’s, it’s, you know, in most people’s lives. And so you sit back and you say to yourself, you could judge them and say, hey, why does it need just get another job, get a second job, get a third job, get a job. You know, what a man, uh, I hope, God forbid this doesn’t happen to you, I would just, I wouldn’t be that guy judging you that way. And that’s, I think that that description you just said that now framed your future, right? I mean, all of a sudden you’re like, Huh, there’s more. And so that pivotal moment, what has that done for you? Like going to these events? Because you go to a lot of them. I mean, when you go, is that energy? Is that fire’s still alive?

Paul:                                      [00:40:08]               Oh, a hundred percent. Every time I go to an event, it’s all, you know, you’re always meeting new people with new problems. Uh, but the thing is when you’re an attendee, you’re there to receive. But when you are a volunteer, you’re there to give. So regardless of whoever it is, I’m there to give myself to be able to kind of help you on your journey and help you find your way and find your path.

Stephen:                             [00:40:33]               So it’s almost like a service or servant attitude, servant leader, 100 percent leader. I’m very, very cool. Okay. So you are a seller. Now, how did you find this world of Amazon last week? Talk to you. You were a stockbroker. Uh, you will as they saw a real estate broker. You went from stock to real estate and you found this, you went to this event, you had some life, not altering life changing, directional changes in your life. Fast forward from there where it took you.

Paul:                                      [00:41:11]               So I was, I was at, uh, I was one. I was an attendee at one of Tony Robbins’ events and uh, on what, he has one of these exercises where you kind of want to plan out your future. And I don’t know what it was, but on my vision board that I was drawing up, I put start an ecommerce business down. And meanwhile, I didn’t, I didn’t, I didn’t really have a why, I just know that I needed to create a secondary source of income. And I said, okay, that’s my future goal and I think ecommerce is gonna be the way to do it. But I, you know, I didn’t have complete certainty but I just put it down anyway. And that was, I think December 2015 and by January 2016 is kind of when I had my account open, but I didn’t have any guidance, I didn’t have any direction, I didn’t really know what I was doing.

Paul:                                      [00:41:59]               I had a friend that, you know, had an Amazon account and he was sorta just like helping me a little bit. Um, you know, he wasn’t coaching me by any means, but he was just sorta like, oh yeah, just check this box in Europe, you know, and do this. And then next thing you know, your account will be open. So nothing, nothing serious. But, um, that’s sorta where I got the start was to the start of ecommerce was, you know, at one of these events it was called date with destiny. Uh, but you know, who knew how,

Stephen:                             [00:42:29]               how does it unfold really is a true real estate is a perfect example of something that could fit in really well with an e commerce business because, you know, it’s, you do a lot of standing around waiting, right? You get a listing and then boom, you got to wait, wait, wait, wait. You got a million things to do, but you gotta wait, wait, wait, wait. And then you sell it or whatever or rent it and you can fill in that time doing other things. Um, and it’s, is it one of the healthy things to that? It’s kind of, you get to kind of move between those three worlds in your world. It’s three worlds. You Got Tony Robbins that you do a lot of stuff with, you’ve got your, your Amazon business that you do a lot of stuff with and you’ve got real estate. You get to do a lot of stuff. Is that part of the attraction?

Paul:                                      [00:43:12]               Yeah, at first, because, you know, at the end of the day with real estate, you do have a lot more flexibility with your time. Um, but I, I hate saying this, I hate admitting it, you know, especially if my manager from real estate ever heard this, they would be like, oh, okay, I get it. But the minute I learned about ecommerce and the flexibility that it gave you, I really stopped spending a lot of time in real estate. Yeah, it was, it was. I, I made a commitment that the minute I discovered ecommerce, I would really put my heart and my soul into it even though I didn’t really know what I was doing. I was committed like this is going happen. Um, you know, there was no way that failure was an option at this point. I, I, you know, again, I didn’t know what the outcome would be, but I just know that whatever I touched, I wasn’t going to fail at it.

Stephen:                             [00:43:59]               You know, one of the cool things that I get to follow Paul Online and I get to see him, he’s always somewhere. You mean you’re always somewhere. You get a, you, you traveled extensively, you vacation hard. I’ve seen some pictures. You do you, you are not, you are living a life, aren’t you?

Paul:                                      [00:44:18]               Yeah, I’m on a plane pretty much at least once a month.

Stephen:                             [00:44:22]               And again, this is all by design, right? And you could be going to a Tony Robbins event or you can be going to a Paul event, which is pretty cool. And so this Amazon business that you created and you’re your most of the, are you 100 percent ra or.

Paul:                                      [00:44:37]               No, a majority of my business is Ra. I do a little bit of Oak, a little bit of wholesale as well. Uh, and also we are in the process of launching Rpl business as we speak.

Stephen:                             [00:44:50]               Okay. So these all build each other. And this is again, you know, one of the cool things you think about the connections that you’ve made and I think this is another great opportunity to talk about your network is your net worth, right? We all heard that, right? And so when you go to, and it’s why I always say go to Amazon conferences because there is somebody there who has already has solved every problem you have or go to a trade show. And those vendors have solved all the problems you have, right? Or I think of the prosper show, uh, James Thompson shelter when you go there and there’s 100 vendors that sell services for ecommerce, those vendors know how to fix every problem you have, right? When you go to a Tony Robbins event. Talk about the networking that happens there.

Paul:                                      [00:45:31]               Oh, so, you know, the thing about Tony is that he has different types of seminars for different things. Like if you are looking for health and fitness, you know, there’s, there’s one for that. If you’re looking for business, you know, there’s a, he has a business seminar for that one. And you know, I remember when I was at his business seminar, it’s called business mastery. And this was the time I went to this seminar at the time when I just started my Amazon business. I was probably about eight months in. But, uh, again, I wasn’t doing much. I didn’t have any guidance, I didn’t have any, uh, I didn’t have any direction, really. No one was coaching me nothing. And I remember being at this business mastery seminar, uh, and the purpose of me being there was to elevate my real estate career because I was still in real estate at the time.

Paul:                                      [00:46:24]               So I was there in the audience trying to figure out ways how to increase my real estate business. And then Tony Robbins said something I’ll never ever forget it. It was being able to do what you want, when you want, where you want, with whomever you want to do it with. And that phrase is ingrained in my mind. And I said to myself, I had my, my real estate business in my left hand and I had my ecommerce hobby in my right hand. And I looked at it and I said, okay, my real estate career that I’ve been in for 10 years or my ecommerce hobby that I’ve been in for about eight months, which one can I scale to that ideal model of being able to do what you want, when you want, where you want, with whomever you want to do it with. And I came to the hard truth and literally at that moment I tossed away my real estate career of 10 years

Stephen:                             [00:47:21]               and you said freedom and freedom, meaning using Amazon to just distribute to a for that was the thing that was attractive to you. Um, and if you’re going to put the energy and effort, because I think that’s important to note too, is that to be really successful. I, I follow Ryan Sirhan. I liked that. I mean he’s just a cool dude, but the effort that he puts in to make this giant, it’s got a lot of responsibility. I mean, it’s an enormous responsibility. And I sit back and say, hmm, definitely not. I’m not interested in that. I can see the hours and the time and for him it might be working. When you think about the hours that it would take to have that real success, um, how much time do you put into your Fba business relative to real estate that you get? Where I’m going with that? I just want to. Because I think people are gonna say, well, you could make all the money in real estate. You can. That’s true, but that’s gotta be your thing. Right. And again, I use Ryan is a good example.

Paul:                                      [00:48:16]               Yeah, you’re absolutely right. You can make a lot of money in real estate. And as a matter of fact, I did make a lot of money in real estate. I’ve actually have done deals with Ryan, sir, haunt, um, I’ve taken some of my clients to a lot of the million dollar listings. I have sold property in excess of $6,000,000. So, you know, for me to take that one step to throw away or real estate career where you’re selling multimillion dollar properties, there has to be a really good reason why.

Stephen:                             [00:48:40]               Oh, you got a reason why I want to hear a y. Oh, right.

Paul:                                      [00:48:43]               So, you know what I, what I quickly learned about, um, uh, about real estate is that my real estate career was geospecific. I could never ever, ever take my New York City real estate business with me to Florida. I can’t take my clients with me to Florida because they are buying property and renting property and investing in property in New York City. So the thing is, I’m all about life experiences. I’m all about travel as you know, but at the end of the day, I don’t care what anyone says, if you ha, if you are a real estate broker, you have a lot of us have this illusion that we’re self employed. We can do whatever we want. No, that’s not really true. You know, you’re still working for a firm typically and you know, they’re holding your license and you’re really at the Beck and call of the clients when and where they need you. And I remember going on a vacation once when I was on a cruise ship and this crew ship was leaving port as we speak and my phone rings and then it was a client asking me to show them a two and a half million dollar property. And I was like, oh my God, are you kidding me right now? Like how is this going to work? And that’s when I realized they didn’t actually have the freedom that I was looking for.

Stephen:                             [00:50:00]               So that was funny. Wasn’t the freedom. Because at two and a half million dollar sale would be an enormous amount of money. So money wasn’t the freedom for you.

Paul:                                      [00:50:07]               No, you can, you can make money, but you can’t make time.

Stephen:                             [00:50:14]               When you think about like today, now knowing where you’re at and you look back and I’m sure you still have friends that are still in real estate. Um, have you had the conversation with them? They’re like, what? Because they’ve got to see the same thing. I see. See you traveling all over the place and they’re like, man, I wish I could do that. I wish I could do that. And it’s unfortunate because there’s a whole bunch of people in our FBA world that are looking at real estates and man, I wish I could do that. I wish I could do that. And again, I think it’s a perspective issue, right? Is it isn’t real estate, right? For some people, for different reasons and that doesn’t make it wrong for other people. It just, meaning that they don’t want to give up whatever it costs for that. Like in your case, you don’t want to give up what it costs, which was time for real estate didn’t mean you weren’t successful because you were successful and that’s okay. Again, we’re back to that, that perspective, that framing that, that experience at Tony where you got to see that there are other situations.

Paul:                                      [00:51:12]               Oh, sorry, I kinda lost the train of thought on this one.

Stephen:                             [00:51:15]               Well, I think I, I think I went to four different question. Is going to be like, are you talking about. See if you’re talking to four different things. Well I just sit back and I think that, you know, people look at other people’s lives and they sit back and say, man, he makes that look attractive. So you know, when, when you were selling real estate, I’m sure there’s a whole bunch of Fba. People are saying, man, I should do real estate because that seems like a thing that would fit naturally with my business. But here’s the deal. You can make money on it if that’s your thing. If you love that and vice versa. The people that you worked within real estate a bunch of. I bet you a whole bunch of them are looking at you and your photos of travel in this and that and say, man, I wish I had that freedom. They got the money. I wish I had that freedom. And so I guess where I was going with it was when you went to that Tony robins thing, you get to see that it’s okay to do any of those things, but they’ve got to be right for you. That’s what I was trying to say. I did a very poor job of it.

Paul:                                      [00:52:06]               What you, you have to, you know, you gotta do what resonates with you. You GotTa do what fulfills you. You got to gravitate towards whatever it is that your purpose was. And you know, one of my driving forces is, is my wife, you know, she, she is my best friend and you know, at the end of the day, you know, she didn’t want to be in New York anymore. You know, she was also in a nine to five career and we were really, really looking for ways to kind of get out of our daily routine. You know, we wanted to change our environment, but I know that if I stayed in New York City real estate, I could never ever go to another location without supplementing my income someway somehow. So that’s really how, you know, ecommerce came to fruition, you know, I needed to find a way to exit out of New York City real estate and into something that gave me the flexibility of time as well as location.

Stephen:                             [00:53:03]               And so that wasn’t an end all for you and maybe it’s not an endo for you for now. That was the ability that gave you the ability to do that and to do something that you guys were both ready to do. That’s very cool. That’s very cool.

Paul:                                      [00:53:17]               Yep. My, my wife is no longer a, you know, working her nine to five. She quit her job last July. Um, and pretty much the, my, the funny thing is people in my real estate office in New York City, they really have no idea that I’m not really working in real estate. They didn’t even know that I moved. I just ever since I committed to, uh, to ecommerce, I pretty much haven’t been into my real estate office for over a year and a half.

Stephen:                             [00:53:47]               And so, you know, pulling back from that. Sure. What’s your advice to people, you know, um, you must meet a lot of people at these Tony Robbins events and they’re like, Paul, what’s the answer? Help me. What do you, what do you advise them?

Paul:                                      [00:54:00]               Um, well, I think they need to know what they’re looking for first, right?

Stephen:                             [00:54:03]               Because you know that, how do you know what you’re looking for, Paul? That’s hard.

Paul:                                      [00:54:07]               Oh, it is.

Stephen:                             [00:54:08]               Because I look at you and I’m like, man, I should do real estate where I look at you and I should do Fba, right? Look at, uh, you know,

Paul:                                      [00:54:15]               operation comes in many different ways. You know, it, it’s, it’s kind of easy when you surround yourself with amazing people or people that play the game of life at a, at a higher level than you, you know, there’s that one phrase, right? Like if you, if you hang out with five millionaires, you’ll be the sixth. So if your peer group is a really high performing peer group, then you’re going to want it to succeed and you’re going to want to strive in certain ways that others walls.

Stephen:                             [00:54:43]               Is that the reason right there? Because I don’t want to move. I don’t want to lose this. Is that the reason to go to the right Tony Robbins event and it doesn’t have to be Tony Robbins. It could be another, another one of these really inspiring people. Oprah could be one. I mean, I know it sounds weird, but she’s. Let’s face it, just an incredible woman. It could be when you’re around those type of people and then environment. Again, you realize that there’s potential. The world isn’t a nine to five job where you’re didn’t get a raise this year and I only got 12 more years. I can retire Paul 12 more years and I’m gonna get my pension. Right? Right. When you go to those things, that’s what you can see. If you open your eyes.

Paul:                                      [00:55:25]               Absolutely. There’s, there’s a phrase, right? You get what you tolerate and if what you have is great, then you’re going to keep on doing what you’re doing, but if you want more out of life, you’re going to push. And that’s what I did is as I pushed, because I, I know Tony Robbins, what he really did was he gave me permission to dream again. He gave me the ability to see a bigger scope. I ha a. He helped me take the blinders off in my life and realized that I could achieve more if I became more.

Stephen:                             [00:55:56]               What, what do you say to people who are like, you know, poets, Hokey, you know, I’m embarrassed to go. I’m a guy and macho men don’t go were, you know, I mean, hey, we take care of ourselves. We pull herself up by our bootstraps. Suck it up, buttercup. Let’s go. What do you say to those people?

Paul:                                      [00:56:11]               Oh, well, the truth is, you know, people can only be helped if they want to be helped, but the, the, you know, even though the information is out there, the help is out there. Um, you know, the people that are, are functioning at a different level in life, they’re all out there, but again, if you’re comfortable, great, you’ll stay that way, but if you have a little bit of a burning desire, you’re going to gravitate towards it. But again, you know, if you can’t help someone that doesn’t want to be helped, but if you can create enough pain or pleasure in someone’s life and that pain is significant enough, trust me, you’re going to go. It’s just like weight loss, right? People can eat a cheeseburger and French fries for a very, very long time, but the minute that they realized that they’re diabetic or they had a stroke or a heart attack, that’s enough pain for someone to actually get the leverage to be able to change their life.

Stephen:                             [00:57:08]               That’s so hard though. I mean, you’re absolutely right. It’s so hard to change midstream because you don’t see the heart attack coming. You don’t see the diabetes coming. Maybe you see some of it, you just ignore it, but it’s, it’s hard to be preventative, right? It’s that. It’s hard and, and I don’t know what it is. I don’t know if it’s because of the life we’ve led or TB has an influence on us or stress. Probably a lot of it’s stress. Um, I don’t know what causes it, but man, how do you change your state midway when you realize, you know, like you back in, you know, back in when you were at JP Morgan, whichever one it was when you’re on Wall Street and you’re like, there’s something knowing that my gut, something’s just not right.

Paul:                                      [00:57:53]               What, what helps people get there? Again, it’s all about pain and pleasure, right? But some people live in this bubble of comfort, but maybe it’s not the ideal situation, but they’re just comfortable. They’re okay with their nine to five job. They are okay, you know, making the minimum wage. But it’s all about perspective. You know, if, if you wake up every single day with gratitude and with purpose, you’re going to want to gravitate towards being able to achieve these goals. If you wake up every single day, you know, wanting to help the people around you, your friends, your family and so on and so forth. And that becomes your driving force. Things change in your life and they change for the better.

Stephen:                             [00:58:40]               So when you go to these events, what’s the mindset that you need to have? I mean, I think there’s a, hopefully this sparks some interest in some people to say, you know what, let me give this a shot because there is something missing and you can come to all the FPA events and come and hang with us and you’ll get to meet some incredible people and they’re going to help you in your business. But if you need more, if you’re looking for something more, something else perhaps, and again, it doesn’t have to be Tony Robbins. It can be Oprah. It could be, it could be a local meetup. I mean, whatever, something inspiring somebody to take you out of your comfort zone, somebody to challenge you and say, you know, Paul, there’s more to life than this. What’s the attitude that you really have to have when you go to these things to get the most from it?

Paul:                                      [00:59:20]               You know, I, I wouldn’t say that you have to have a specific attitude. You just have to have faith. You know, you’re gonna, you’re gonna. Walk in faith in that person, faith in God, faith in yourself. What is it that faith that you’re going to find the answer. So just keep an open mind and that this Opportunity’s here. Right. Exactly. There, you know, there’s a reason why these speakers get paid the amount that they do, it’s because they provide a certain amount of value and if you just go in with blind faith knowing that you have questions and you could put potentially get the answer for it, that’s enough.

Stephen:                             [00:59:56]               Hmm. And so you might not get the whole answer, but you might get some direction if you’re open to it. Right. If you, again, if especially, I mean, you know, I think about, I’m in a mastermind and we were in Orlando in a, I’ve got to say March and the keynote speaker there was an incredible guy and he said something to me and then we got off the line and we had a conversation and he said something to me and I’m like, Huh? He changed my whole, my whole future. I mean, we changed our business model because of what he said. He made a connection that I never made and Lsi. Ha.

Paul:                                      [01:00:28]               And so you weren’t, you weren’t looking for it? I had no clue. Right. It just came to you because you had the faith in, you know, to engage him. It was an open.

Stephen:                             [01:00:38]               Yeah, it was this, it was like, again, my boundaries got lifted. Okay. So, so I know we made a bunch of pitch, but this is really a life pitch. This is one of those things that Paul’s doing now. When you think about your private label business, because I think this is a good place to go. What benefits do you get from your network that you built up in the Tony Robbins world? I mean, is there, or have there been any benefits that you’ve been able to gain towards private label?

Paul:                                      [01:01:03]               Uh, oh yeah, actually tons. I’m actually, I just came back from Vegas a couple of days ago and I met a manufacturer who, uh, and I don’t want to be to specific generic, right? He has a product that was being sold to a distributor here in the United States and it got this product, got to the top of page one, a very, very, very fast with almost a hundred and nine reviews within, I think 45 days, which we all know. That’s pretty incredible. Anyway, to make a long story short, suddenly sales stopped for that distributor and I got to speaking with the manufacturer and he’s just like, Paul, I don’t know if we’re going to be selling to them anymore. I’m not really quite sure what they’re doing. And Amazon. And I said, okay, well, do you have exclusive rights? Uh, you know, uh, did you sign exclusive rights with them?

Paul:                                      [01:01:58]               They’re like, no. And I’m like, okay, can I sell under a, you know, this, this brand name? He goes, no, that’s their brand name. I said, okay, let’s, let’s, let’s repackage it. Let’s change the color of the item and let’s create a brand new name for this product and let’s start selling it again. He’s like, perfect. So you know, I’m now going to be a distributor of this specific product and it wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t at the last event. And just so you know, it wasn’t a participant, it was someone who was a volunteer just like me.

Stephen:                             [01:02:28]               No kidding. So he’s trying to improve his personal life, I guess, or his, his boundaries and boom, you know, it’s funny, he’s probably going home saying, honey, you wouldn’t believe the guy that just walked into my door, my door was open because I went with the right mindset. I knew I had faith and this guy named Paul walked into my door and I think he could be the answer. I mean, so not only is I can hear the enthusiasm in your voice, your life is going to be possibly changed. It sounds like his life could be changed to Uri. That’s a little eerie.

Paul:                                      [01:03:05]               Oh yeah. But I think, uh, you know, life happens for a reason and if you’re, you just got to be at the right place at the right time.

Stephen:                             [01:03:13]               Right. I don’t think, you know, I’m sitting here thinking about this. I think these opportunities happen at church. It happens in your. My Rotary Club. I got a whole bunch of. I’m in a rotary member of my guys and and all those things. If you’re open to it, right? If you’re putting it out there helping people and you know, hey, what do you do and what do you do and you know, start talking and all of a sudden these opportunities exist and so the ability to find likeminded people I think is really the key. And for you to find an especially another volunteer, because that takes a different mindset, right? That’s not just trying to save money on the event because that happens once and then you’re like, okay, yeah, that was good. Now when you’re giving, when you go back the second time, that’s got to be the one that’s like, all right, this is a big commitment because it’s not easy.

Stephen:                             [01:03:54]               I know it’s not easy. That’s phenomenal, dude. I just hope somebody hears this and says, wow, I’m, I’m missing that one segment of my life. My business is going okay, but my personal relationships aren’t because it’s coming at the cost of, you know, because I’m putting so much effort on my this or my health. I see so many people. Again, the 11 or 12 guys in my group, we would, how many of us would have quit and I’m, Steve’s raising his hand right now. Had we not had that group of likeminded people. And so the ability to find that with you and your Tony Robbins group is phenomenal. All right, so what’s next for Paul? So you’ve got your, you’re clearly taking advantage of this ecommerce world and building this life. You still have Tony Robbin plans this year?

Paul:                                      [01:04:36]               Oh yeah, I got a, I, like I said, I’m pretty much on a plane once a month. Uh, but it’s, it’s my opportunity to really just give back, um, you know, to, to the, to the audience, you know, to, to the, to the participants and, you know, I’m, I’m just, uh, I’m just a sponge. I’m just there to, to soak up everything and give the best and to just give them everything that I know all of my knowledge and uh, everything that I’ve learned.

Stephen:                             [01:05:00]               Which system for your personal relationship. I’m going to end it soon, but I just want to make sure we get this full circle because it sounds like your health is in order, right? You’ve been working on that. It sounds like your mental health sounds really like you’re in a pretty good place. Your business is good. What about your personal relationships?

Paul:                                      [01:05:16]               My personal relationships? Well,

Stephen:                             [01:05:18]               I, I must say that you know, time is always a time is something that you’ll never get back. So being that I’ve been in this environment, I’m very, very selective of who I give my time to and I choose to give my time to people that play the game of life in a very, very high level and that always keeps me in check. I have so many friends that I can call up right now that are super successful. Not just an ecommerce but in real estate, in a, in, in cryptocurrency. Like, there are really so many people that play the game of life at a high level and you know, I, I, I’m just a student every single day. And to me, the fact that you get to do this with your wife and you get to do it together on the terms that you both want is probably one of the coolest things. That detail. Okay. So the goal of this podcast is to help people move forward. So first off, if somebody has a follow up question, what’s the best way to get with you?

Paul:                                      [01:06:17]               Um, they could always a private message me through my instagram, which is Emma Zillionaires. So yeah.

Stephen:                             [01:06:25]               Oh my God, I can’t even spell that dude. Come on.

Paul:                                      [01:06:27]               Yeah, no, no, it’s, it’s Amazon and millionaire. So Emma Zillionaires a, m a Z O N Z I l l I o n a I, r e s.

Stephen:                             [01:06:37]               Wow, that’s a lot of characters. But it’s worth it because you’re going to get to see some travel. You’re going to get to see the stuff that I would. Um, I would, uh, I would sit back and it’s not that I’m envious and I don’t mean it this way, this is the God’s honest truth. I’m encouraged that I’m not envious. I’m encouraged that this life is there if you choose it. And so this is, if this is attractive to you because like you say, you’re all about experiences and that whole generation, you young guys, this is your life you want and I just think it’s phenomenal. Okay. So the goal of the podcast is to help people move forward and get past the point of stuck to me. Tell me what your advice and your counsel is to people who are wanting to build their business or build their life on their terms.

Paul:                                      [01:07:27]               Okay, let me, let me think about this one really quick.

Speaker 4:                           [01:07:34]               Hm.

Paul:                                      [01:07:35]               To build their life on their terms.

Stephen:                             [01:07:36]               Yeah. Because their terms are different than your terms, Paul, and different than my terms and they need to be right. You know, my kids are long gone. I’ve got grandkids. That’s, that’s why I’m part time. Everybody says, why are you part time? See, because guess what, my grandkids need me and I’m big into that. That is my terms right now in my life. There are different than yours,

Paul:                                      [01:07:53]               right? I, I think really it just goes back to everything that I’ve been saying. It’s, it’s to be hungry, you know, to strive for, for more, you know, you can go through life doing the same thing and while for some people that’s great, but if you desire more out of life, if you desire more financial freedom, if you desire more in your relationship with your spouse, girlfriend, whoever it may be, if you desire more out of your health, comfort is the worst place to be. It is. You know, you strive to make yourself uncomfortable. There’s a phrase that I love and it’s, if you can’t, then you must.

Stephen:                             [01:08:33]               Right? And that one hurts. I, it’s funny you say this because I changed my workout routine. I’ve been doing to the same gym for eight years, not seeing results and my younger son who’s in college is helping me to weight training and he’s like, Dad, if you just keep doing the same thing, you’re not going to see any. You got to get uncomfortable. You got to raise the bar, you got to keep. And it’s like, Ooh, that was yesterday and here you are saying the exact same thing.

Paul:                                      [01:08:58]               You got to push yourself to the point of failure when it comes to the gym because you’ll never know what your capacity is until you try.

Stephen:                             [01:09:06]               Right? And I, I would take that all the way through in life, in your relationships and your business, all those things. You’ve got to take those risks, calculated risks, those, those challenges, and then make the most of them. Do you give me the chills? Okay. Next. Tony Robbins event is when,

Paul:                                      [01:09:22]               uh, I believe it’s in November in New York,

Stephen:                             [01:09:24]               November in New York. And if you have any interest at all, reach out to Paul because I know he does something with tickets or something like that. Whatever it is, he doesn’t benefit, but do something if you want to change your life, if this connects with you, reach out to Paul because, and follow them on the Amazon millionaires because you’ll get to see the life he’s living and it’s not a, it’s not a, a Lamborghini life all the time, right? There’s times you get to live some pretty good stuff, but there’s lots of times where you’re doing the hard work and I think it’s very cool to see for perspective that this takes work, but it’s so worth it. Is it not?

Paul:                                      [01:09:59]               Oh, tremendous. Um, you know, for, for those of you that are listening, you know, I, I know I haven’t even mentioned this to you guys yet, but I really did leave real estate behind. I am no longer in New York. I live in Boca Raton, Florida right now. We know where I run my business now with my wife, with my employees. So it’s a 100 percent possible. You know, I got out of the routine of waking up every single day thinking that I had to be a great real estate broker and instead of building someone else’s dreams, I wake up everyday building my own.

Stephen:                             [01:10:33]               Give me a good dude. I wish you nothing but success. Thank you so much.

Paul:                                      [01:10:38]               My pleasure,

Stephen:                             [01:10:39]               man. What a great guy. He is absolutely real. Um, he is so animated when you meet him in person. He’s just so encouraging, so enthusiastic and real again. Um, if he connects with you, then you know, that’s the possibilities of what a Tony Robbins or somebody like that that can do when they expand your boundaries and if you need help expanding. So lots of people don’t. That’s awesome. You are awesome if you don’t need that. And some people could see it as a crutch, I understand that, but in the end, if you take a college class and you all of a sudden come out on the other end, smarter was at a crutch. You could read the book on your own. You can just go by the book, right? Go on Amazon, but any of the books, but you take that class and all of a sudden that instead that a teacher, right?

Stephen:                             [01:11:24]               They help you think differently. They challenge you, they teach you important things. Well, that’s what a person like a Tony Robbins or a therapist or a oprah or wherever. Where are your minister can do for you is they can expand your boundaries and it can let you think about things differently. Perspective could change and man, when you do, especially if you’ve got that gaping hole in your life that you’re trying to fill in and you’re struggling on your own, don’t give up. Take advantage of this and again, reach out to Paul. Reach out to someone ecommerce momentum.com, ecommerce momentum.com. Take care.
